Peter Hutton - Education during and beyond Covid-19
We are joined by Peter Hutton for a conversation about education in relation to the current Covid-19 pandemic and where things are going as we look beyond. This podcast is part of #RELEARN2020.
Peter Hutton is the Co-Founder and Director of the Future Schools Alliance in Australia. Peter has been a school leader in four state and independent schools over a 25 year period. He was appointed Assistant Principal at 29 and spent the next 12 years in a range of schools essentially learning “how the education machine functioned”. He is one of few people to have been a Principal in both the Independent and State Education systems.
Peter’s work as Principal of Templestowe College, Melbourne, Australia, has been recognised by Finland’s HundrED organisation as being one of the most innovative schools in the world. Peter presents regularly at State, National and International conferences on progressive education.
His areas of expertise and passion include creativity (as applied to problem solving), change management, student entrepreneurship, neuroscience, alternative tertiary pathways, supporting dyslexic students and futurism.
