The 5 reasons why parents choose Learnlife
1. A Love of Learning - We spark curiosity and make learning fun, meaningful and hands-on. Children don’t just “get through” the day. They take charge of their learning and look forward to it.
2. A Sense of Belonging - Every child is welcomed, known, and celebrated for who they are. Our community is built on trust, kindness, and genuine connection.
3. Growing Confidence - Through personal mentoring and supportive relationships, your child will discover their strengths, try new things, and build real confidence.
4. Passion and Purpose - We help your child discover what excites them, connect learning to real life, and find their “why.” When learning has purpose, motivation soars.
5. Skills for Life - Your child will build resilience, critical thinking, and creativity, helping them develop the mindset and skills to thrive no matter what the future holds.

Two inspiring locations for learning
Our secondary programme is available at two locations:
- Learnlife Urban Hub Barcelona (Ages 12 to 18) - Redefining learning since 2019, the Urban Hub is our international secondary school and innovation centre in the heart of Barcelona in Eixample. It’s a space where teens learn with passion and purpose through real, hands-on learning.
- Learnlife Village Hub, Sitges/Sant Pere de Ribes (Ages 10 to 16) - Our newest school which opened in 2024, the Village Hub is a bright, modern space that combines forward-thinking education with a strong sense of community. Located less than 10 minutes from Sitges, Sant Pere de Ribes and Vilanova.

Where do our graduates go?
At Learnlife, we know that no two learners are the same, and neither are their futures. Some dream of university, others of starting a project, joining a creative industry, travelling, or building skills through real-world experience.
Our Pathways Programme exists to support learners in turning those ideas into clear, realistic next steps — with guidance, structure and trust.
Rather than asking learners to fit into a single predefined route, we help them design a pathway that makes sense for who they are, what they care about, and where they want to go.
Every Learnlife learner leaves knowing their next step.
With time to explore, reflect and prepare, graduates choose pathways that align with both their ambitions and where they are in their development.
Rather than funnelling learners into one definition of success, we support multiple, equally valid futures. Below is just a small example of some of our graduates' destinations.
Admissions and fees
Our annual programme fees start from €9,700. If you are interested in applying, the first step is to arrange a conversation with our admissions team. You can find full details on our admissions process and fees here.
How learning happens
Your child works together with other learners in one of three groups: Explorers (ages 12 to 14), Creators (ages 14 to 16) or Changemakers (ages 16 to 18).
You won't find rows of desks here. Instead, you'll see teens taking charge of their learning, collaborating on projects in small groups, and solving real-world problems in studios.
We believe great learning should be joyful and purposeful. That’s why our days follow a clear schedule that balances freedom and routine.
Three principles guide everything we do:
- Agency and ownership - Teens are empowered to make choices, share their voice, and take real ownership of their learning. When kids have a say, motivation and engagement soar.
- Authentic, real-world learning - Projects and activities are based on real life and your child’s interests. Whether they’re building, creating or solving problems, learning always feels relevant and meaningful.
- Diverse learning - We use the most effective learning methods, like project-based learning, design thinking, and authentic learning, so every young person can discover how they learn best and try new ways of thinking.
FAQs
Yes. Our curriculum, called the Learnlife Competency Model, is recognised as a leading global education innovation. It’s built on years of research and best practices from pioneering educators around the world.
It aligns with the local Ministry of Education while integrating the critical skills learners need for a thriving future. These skills are embedded in our five key learning domains and delivered through what we call our Building Blocks:
-
Learning to Be
-
Learning to Think
-
Learning to Learn
-
Learning to Relate
-
Learning to Act
Our learning experiences promote agency, are rooted in real-world relevance, and draw from a variety of methodologies.
We prioritise deep learning and foundational skill development in everything we do.
Through our competency model, learners build strong academic foundations across literacy, numeracy, science, and other key domains, integrated with real-world application.
Our interdisciplinary approach connects learning across subjects and fosters skills such as critical thinking, collaboration and creativity.
Regular reflection, feedback, and authentic assessment help learners understand where they are and what’s next, while building confidence and independence.
The learners gradually grow their understanding of the wider world within this framework.
We focus on authentic, competency-based assessment rather than traditional exams or grades.
Progress is captured throughout the year using the Learning Vitae, a dynamic tool that offers a holistic view of each learner’s growth. It provides clear insights into where learners are in their journey and includes tangible evidence of their achievements.
In addition, secondary learners share and reflect on their learning through:
- Showcases: Held once per cycle, these community events allow learners to present their work
- 360 Assessments: At the end of each cycle, learners reflect on their goals and share their growth with their families and learning guide. Parents also have the chance to contribute feedback.
Absolutely. Learners at the Urban Hub who meet the required criteria receive an American High School Diploma and can qualify for the Spanish ESO Certificate.
This opens doors to top global universities, entrepreneurial ventures, and a wide range of future pathways.
If learners need to pass an exam to get to their chosen pathway, we can adapt their schedule and help them prepare for this. Several learners have done this with no problem, in fact, their exam results are well above national benchmarks!
With personal mentorship and portfolio development, our graduates leave ready to take their next step. Confident, capable, and future-ready.
Learners have a pathways discussion to explore their options and make a plan to reach their goals. Their mentors support them throughout this process.
Our programmes are delivered in English. We offer Spanish and Catalan to develop language skills.
We celebrate diversity and multilingualism and provide many opportunities to develop language skills and an interest in local culture.

Every child has their own unique strengths and we’re here to celebrate and support those.
When additional support is needed (whether diagnosed or identified by our team), we collaborate closely with families to co-create an individualised learning plan. These plans evolve with the learner and focus on their goals, strengths and needs.
