"Educating Happiness" tells the story of 17-year-old Lotte. Why was she so unhappy in one school system and so happy in another? And how do her peers in both systems think? What is education actually about, what's the 'Why' and how can Lotte find purpose and intrinsic motivation in what she was learning?
Lotte embarks on a quest to answer these questions by talking to different people. And she draws her conclusion about the future of education.
This documentary is a co-creation between Lotte, a 17-year old student graduating from The Green School, and Sascha van Doorn, Dutch videographer and filmmaker, who is debuting with her first documentary that she has both directed and produced.
